AFRO
BANANA
+ FRIENDS
Every year we invite a hand-picked selection of ‘friends’ to help us co-curate the richest and most holistic experience possible for you. And our 10th anniversary is no different – with an incredible group of collaborators from Cyprus and abroad, coming together to take you on a transformational journey that will reawaken the imagination, liberate self-expression and immerse us all in magical collective experiences.
AfroBanana is not only about the music. The festival is a holistic journey, infused with magic moments of self-expression, exploration through artistic installations, and meaningful experiences. But exceptional music is the key ingredient in this delicious recipe. And as purveyors of richly eclectic, top-quality sounds, we’ve put together perhaps the best line-up yet for our 10th anniversary edition, with an incredible collection of performances, across a diverse spectrum of musical genres, all set against the stunning creative backdrop of Val’s Place.

DAYTIME
ACTIVITIES, WELLNESS& FAMILY TIME
We’re pulling out the stops this year to make AfroBanana a fully immersive and inclusive experience for everyone who joins our perfect little festival community. Bananians of all ages will be able to enjoy the all-day festival vibes, with a fantastic programme of activities and workshops to dive into. Our friends at Mind Body Spirit (MBS) have curated a holistic line-up of transformational wellness experiences to try, from Acro Yoga to QiGong. Learn how to liberate your self-expression through the power of movement or learn to dance with the founders of Strawberry Jam Hip-Hop crew. The choice is yours!
Looking after your safety, as well as the environment that is so kindly hosting us, is one of our top priorities at AfroBanana Festival. We’re not just about dancing to mind-blowing music! We also have a strong environmental conscience and a dedication to providing the best holistic experience possible.
Read on for more information on how we plan to keep you and Mother Nature safe during the event.

FOOD &
DRINKS
Foodies and gastronomes; prepare to have your taste buds tantalised by the loving family that runs Val’s Place. If you have already been there, you know what we are talking about. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, they’ve got you covered! It’s all about good food, prepared with love and fresh ingredients from Val’s gardens. And let’s not forget the creative touch of the family’s cooks!
And this year for the first time ever, we’ve asked our friends from Sousami in Limassol to curate a cocktail menu exclusively for the occasion. The bar's badass, expert mixologist, Christos Tirzlakis, has concocted some delicious recipes to quench your thirst while you dance - all crafted with passion, creativity and flair!

WHERE TO STAY
Located in the most magical oasis of the island, the campsite at Val’s Place has been revamped for AfroBanana this year, to ensure you’re the happiest of campers. In addition to new improved facilities offering everything you could need for the perfect five-day getaway, the tent area is also cool and shaded thanks to special shading structures and fragrant orange trees.
So, come and immerse yourselves in the surreal vibes and make the most of this transformational five-day escape from reality, by pitching your tents and sleeping under the stars. Tent space is limited so campers are advised to book tickets in good time and arrive early to guarantee their spot at this annual gathering of like-minded individuals.
FESTIVAL
CAMPING

Didn’t manage to secure a spot at the festival campsite? No worries, Polis Campsite is less than 20 minutes away by car and has plenty of tent and campervan space for groups of all sizes. You won’t be immersed in the AfroBanana magic, but at least there’s plenty of shade under the tall eucalyptus trees, as well as ample facilities for guaranteed camper comfort.
POLIS
CAMPING

We know camping isn’t for everyone. But that doesn’t mean you need to miss out on our 10th anniversary edition. For Bananians who prefer their creature comforts, there are loads of fantastic accommodation options around Gialia.
Gather your friends, rent a house by the sea and make the most of five-days escaping reality, with our immersive festival experience and one of the most beautiful corners of the island on your doorstep. Hurry though - places are already being snapped up fast!

GETTING HERE

CAR SHARING
We’re all about doing our best to reduce the festival’s carbon footprint and respect the planet we all call home. And that includes inviting you – our fellow Bananians – to join us in the mission.
So, if you’re planning to drive to the festival this year, why not turn it into a road trip by carpooling with friends, or even try car sharing with other festival goers – not only will it reduce emissions and save you petrol money, it’s also a great way to meet new like-minded people, makes parking easier, and kick-starts the festival fun early!
Keep an eye out for the ‘car sharing’ post on the festival’s Facebook and Instagram pages where you can offer or request rides.

PARKING
This year the new venue provides heaps of space to park your car in a designated parking area, right beside the entrance, for the ultimate ease of access and convenience.
PRODUCTION
The Festival is organised by Alternative Brains Rule, a non-profit company, with over 10 years of experience conceptualising, designing, planning and managing some of the island’s most innovative events and unforgettable brand experiences, positively impacting the creative scene.
They are a dynamic, high-performing team, who strive to push boundaries, merging their collective professional and creative backgrounds, to bring a new, innovative, unexpected and unexplored edge to all of their endeavours.
